Unabhängig davon, ob ich mich in einer urbanen oder ländlichen Umgebung aufhalte, interessieren mich Dinge, die den jeweiligen Ort prägen. In langjährigen Arbeitsprozessen lege ich umfangreiche Bildarchive an. Sie bilden die Grundlage für Rauminstallationen, in denen ich thembezogen auch Filmmaterial, Geräusche oder Gerüche einsetze.

Regardless of whether I am in an urban or rural environment, I am interested in things that characterize the respective place. Over the course of many years, I have been creating an extensive archive of images. These form the basis for spatial installations in which I also use film material, sounds or smells depending on the theme.

In meinen fotografischen Arbeiten spielt der ursprüngliche Bildinhalt oft nur eine untergeordnete Rolle. Durch handwerkliche Bearbeitung, teilweise unter zusätzlicher Verwendung von Farbe und textilem Material, werden die Werke in einen neuen Kontext gestellt.

In my photographic work, the original content of the image often plays a secondary role. The works are placed in a new context through manual processing, sometimes with the additional use of colour and textile material.
