Independently of whether a place or a space should to be formed, my work is fundamentally concerned about creating a relation between it and the people who move in it.

In meiner Installation HIMMEL AUF ERDEN scheinen 12 Himmelkissen in loser Anordnung über einen Wiesenhang am Hafenpark zu schweben. "Auf Wolken gebettet" kann der Besucher von hier aus seine Blicke und Gedanken in alle Himmelsrichtungen schweifen lassen. Durch die bildliche Transformation von Himmel und Erde wird der gesamte Kosmos erfasst. Ein gigantischer Raum, in dem wir uns alle bewegen und der uns in Zukunft wieder etwas bewusster werden sollte. Damit das "Himmlische auf Erden" nie verloren geht...

Infolge der Nutzung der Kissenobjekte durch die Besucher werden im Laufe der Zeit - als Weiterentwicklung einer sozialen Skulptur - Zeichen und Spuren erscheinen, die als Metaphern für den aktuellen Zustand unserer Lebenswelt stehen.

In my installation HEAVEN ON EARTH 12 sky pillows seem to float in loose arrangement over a meadow hillside at the harbor park. " Bedded on clouds", the visitor can let his eyes and thoughts wander in all directions from here. Through the pictorial transformation of heaven and earth, the entire cosmos is captured. A gigantic space in which we all move and of which we should become more aware in the future. So that the "heavenly on earth" will be never lost....
As a result of the use of the pillow objects by visitors, signs and traces will appear in the course of time - as a further development of a social sculpture - which stand as metaphors for the current state of our world of living.

In meiner mehrteiligen Installation SCHLAUCHWEG, die ich als Kunst-am-Bau für das Feuerwehr-gerätehaus in Karlsruhe-Hagsfeld realisiert habe, werden durch Farbe, Form und Bewegung Inhalte assoziiert, die wir alle mit dem Thema Feuerwehr verbinden. In einem wellenartigen Rhythmus bewegen sich zwei Stahlelemente vom Gebäude weg durch den umliegenden Aussenbereich, tauchen imaginär in den westlich gelegenen Bach ein, um als 4m langes "Schlauchelement" auf der gegenüberliegenden Uferseite wieder empozuschnellen. Duch die feuerrote Farbgebung, die direkte Verbindung zum Element Wasser und sie suggestiv schnelle Bewegung des Schlauches wird ein direkter Bezug zur Feuerwehr hergestellt.

In my installation SCHLAUCHWEG, which I realized for the fire station in Karlsruhe-Hagsfeld, contents that we all associate with the fire department are associated through color, form and movement. In a wave-like rhythm, two steel elements move away from the building through the surrounding outdoor area, imaginary dive into the western stream, to as a 4m long "hose element" on the opposite bank again up. The fire-red color scheme, the direct connection to the element of water and the suggestively fast movement of the hose create a direct reference to the fire department.
